LICENSE AGREEMENTS


Access to many online databases is provided by license agreements between the publisher/copyright holders and the State University System of Florida. Some databases will be restricted to one or more of these universities depending upon their participation in the subscription:

  • Florida A&M University
  • Florida Atlantic University
  • Florida Gulf Coast University
  • Florida International University
  • Florida State University
  • University of Central Florida
  • University of Florida
  • University of North Florida
  • University of South Florida
  • University of West Florida


The authorized users of this information are the faculty (permanent or temporary), staff, and registered students. The universities determine who qualify for these categories. If you are unsure about any of these conditions, please contact your university library.


ADDITIONAL NOTICE TO WALK-IN USERS


In addition to the authorized users described above, the publisher/copyright holder allows the universities to provide access to databases and/or electronic journals by members of the public for their scholarly, research, educational and personal use from workstations in the university libraries. The universities are under the same obligations to protect the information from unauthorized use.

Use of a database implies that you have read the Terms and Conditions statement for that database.


COPYRIGHT AND PROPRIETARY NOTICES OF PUBLISHER


The copyright and all other proprietary rights in the databases are the sole and exclusive property of the Publisher/Copyright Holder. All rights reserved. This material is proprietary, protected under national copyright laws and international copyright treaties, and cannot be reproduced or redistributed other than for personal or internal use at authorized institutions in the State University System of Florida as authorized by the license between the publisher and those universities. Any unauthorized reproduction or use violates the terms and conditions of that license and may result in its termination. The publisher reserves the right to bring legal action for copyright infringement for any unauthorized use. Copyright infringement is also a criminal offense.
